this weekend, i, jane, spent a few days in chicago, il. every time i find my way to this awesome city, i fall in love with it all over again. i think the culture mesh, size, and layout of the city is pretty perfect.
here were my adventures in the windy city (via vsco.co pictures):
we explored the navy pier area, ate deep dish pizza, and day dreamed about being down the block at lollapalooza.
happy new week friends !
this weekend was filled with a variety of activities and fun.
it started with friday’s trip to canterbury park in mn for the weekly horse races. although we didn’t leave with much extra cash, it was a unique thing to do and witness.
saturday, laura got to tour the new us bank stadium !
lastly, on sunday, jane went on a long bike ride through uptown, downtown, the university of mn, and stopped at the midtown global market for thai snack.
to close, here is a yummy watermelon feta salad recipe:
1/4 of watermelon cut into cubes
1/4 cup of feta cheese
mint leaves as desired
1/2 tbs. olive oil
salt as desired
mix and enjoy!
happy monday! wow. what i weekend i, jane, had !
friday: lakeside and loved it. i got to spend the day on the water and finish with a bonfire surrounded by friends and family.
saturday: i went to mpls’ basilica block party and saw phillip phillips, milky chance, and the fray. they were so amazing live. my favorite performance was the fray’s cover of kanye west’s “heartless.”
sunday: the color run (a super causal and fun 5k run/walk). find out when it comes to your city here ! and dinner with old friends.
i’m off to philadelphia, delaware, and virginia for the week but will keep the posts coming.
hope you had a fun or relaxing (or both!) weekend. for the week ahead tune into some milky chance and soak up the sun because summer is already half way over !
i, laura, attended rock the garden on saturday and had the very best time! what a day. my favorite artists to watch were definitely hippo campus and chance the rapper. rock the garden normally takes place at the walker sculpture garden but this year, because of remodels, the concert was held at boom island park.
i popped into h&m quickly last weekend and was pleasantly surprised with what i saw. although their clothes are cheaply made and you really have to pick through it, we like to go there for trendy pieces (because, hey it may go out of style as fast as it came in) that don’t break the bank.
here’s five things we like:
hey, friends! sorry for the lack of posts lately… we have been very busy with school. today, laura is sharing the pictures that have been on her camera roll lately. all photos are from her vsco, check it out!
i (laura) spent last week enjoying new york city and boston with my family. here are some of my favorite pictures taken from the trip!
have a happy easter everyone!! more to come on jane’s italy adventure soon!
today we went downtown mpls to the guthrie theatre and mill city museum. we had the best views of the infamous gold medal flour sign, the stone arch bridge and the river. we had so much fun playing with the light and backgrounds. here are some of the many many pictures we took, enjoy!
right away, we were obsessed with the big red letters.
the mill city museum is one of minneapolis’ must unique and historic buildings. from old railroad tracks and mossy walls, it was a beautiful place to explore. they have great concerts all summer long. learn more here.
next we walked down the street to the guthrie theatre and found this photogenic wall before we even walked in.
we unexpectedly found the coolest little mirror window seat. it had an absolutely amazing view and fun lighting.
then we went up a few floors to the guthrie dowling studio. the tinted windows make for super cool yellow lighting.
thanks for following along!
we are continuing our little photo sharing segment entitled clean the camera roll! for those of you who are new to our blog, we share some pictures that summarize what has been going on in our lives lately.
