my floral embroidered shirt is from h&m. ripped light wash jeans from urban outfitters. these amazing bamboo brand shoes that were on sale at francesca’s for only $9.98 !! the best deals there can only be found in-store but the online sale section has some great options too.

as laura and i prepare to move out east in just a few short months, we want to take full advantage of everything our beloved city has to offer. so here is what is happening around mpls this summer:

a break from politics

a few links to give you a break from this long day in america.

leonardo decaprio’s documentary on climate change and global warming here (full length on youtube!).

november horoscopes here (better late than never, right??).

i made a variation of this recipe for breakfast this morning. (highly recommend) instead of putting them in the oven, i put them in the microwave for about a minute and 45 seconds. i added a little salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.

some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth here.

have a great night and eventually get back to watching the election poll results because no matter who takes the oval office, we are making history.

happy june & horoscopes !

day 1 of summer, welcome!

we are so excited it is finally june! june means sun, summer, and more time outside. horoscopes are something we’ve been really into lately and like to kick off each month with. they’re fun, optimistic, and a light read. here are our favorites places to read up on our horoscopes:

man repeller (june should be out soon)

susan miller’s astrology zone

and since it’s a little rainy and dreary out in mpls today, here are movies that buzzfeed claims to be better than the book.

summer fun

today, we have some fun summer date ideas and fun activities for a girls night out. have fun!

with nature:

1. this all depends on where you live but how about… cliff jumping? paddle boarding? lake swims? beach volleyball?

2. if you are willing to invest some money, some really fun outdoors activities are these eno hammocks, gibbon slacklines, or these super fun lily pads for a lake day.

fun and exercise:

1. sunrise yoga. [or maybe it just turns into watching the sun rise, either way its a great way to start the day!]

2. run/rollerblade/bike to the date! go for a run and finish with ice cream or coffee.

after sunset:

1. drive in movie! or if there isn’t a location near you, make a variation of one with an outside fort and laptop and/or projector.

2. bonfire! s’mores anyone? with a big group or just one person, you pick.

cali part two

this past weekend, over easter, jane made another trip to cali because she just couldn’t stay away after her trip to san fran. (what’s not to love about the golden state?!) this time though, she stayed on the santa monica beach and made day trips to and throughout the city. she enjoyed relaxing on the beach, walks to the pier, shopping, and even a warner brothers studio tour where she got to see the set of the ellen show, friends, and the fosters! here are her adventures and vacation in pictures all edited and posted on the app.
