both jane and i were lucky enough to get some sun in florida (i was in miami and jane in fort lauderdale) last weekend!
here’s some of my fav pics from the weekend:
sorry for our distance lately! we are extremely busy with school, applying to college, sports, and trying to stay sane through all of this.
here’s my (laura) life lately according to my camera roll:
follow me on vsco (laurs10) for more! happy hump day, friends.
i, laura, absolutely adored my summer job. i spent everyday taking pictures of clothes for an online website and got to learn the ins and outs of an online business. it was everything i could have asked for and more. my last day was last friday and i’ll admit it was pretty hard to say goodbye. i have nothing but respect for the great company i got to work for and an even greater appreciation for my coworkers that made each day full of laughter and fun. i cannot wait to join the full-time working word one day and i hope to do something that can combine my love for business and fashion.
so, fawbush’s thank you for having me this summer. it was a pleasure.
summer is a great time for many bloggers to share trips, projects, and outdoor parties.
here are some of our favorites from around the web!
and really any of the classy girls wear pearl’s posts because wow do they ever do trips right!
happy wednesday, friends! don’t forget to wish jane a happy birthday tomorrow!
every time i, laura, make it to first ave, it is special. this place will always have such a large place in my heart and in the hearts of many people. last night i was lucky enough to go to the burns concert! wow, i’m still in that post concert high (even with ringing ears, a sore throat, and tired eyes). there’s something so attractive to me about spending money on experiences instead of possessions.
anyway, first ave, you gave me yet another memorable night! børns, nice to meet you, i know we will meet again!
this weekend was filled with a variety of activities and fun.
it started with friday’s trip to canterbury park in mn for the weekly horse races. although we didn’t leave with much extra cash, it was a unique thing to do and witness.
saturday, laura got to tour the new us bank stadium !
lastly, on sunday, jane went on a long bike ride through uptown, downtown, the university of mn, and stopped at the midtown global market for thai snack.
to close, here is a yummy watermelon feta salad recipe:
1/4 of watermelon cut into cubes
1/4 cup of feta cheese
mint leaves as desired
1/2 tbs. olive oil
salt as desired
mix and enjoy!
we think ted talks are really awesome!! what a good way to give people the opportunity to educate, inspire, and express.
here are some of our favorites:
happy listening, friends!
“happiness, not in another place but this place…not for another hour, but this hour.” (walt whitman)
i (laura) keep thinking to myself that i need to live in the moment more. it’s summer and i am relatively stress free without school. also, my senior year, one of many lasts, is just around the corner. i’m a planner, i love to think ahead and have an idea of what i want to do, but when it’s summer, i wish i could turn my planning mode off. sometimes, i feel so cheated by time; i wish i knew where i was going for college, i wish i had realized how often i would think back to a certain day and enjoyed it more… etc. my goal this summer is to just take everything in and feel it all. i want these days, that i spend with the people i love, to stay with me forever because these days are the days that i’ll dream of in the fall and in the years to come. every day matters, every day is special.
with that, goodnight, friends! enjoy today, enjoy tomorrow, enjoy it all.
we’re ready for a full week of work, friends, and sun. life lately has been very relaxing and wonderful.
left: laura’s new case (here) that she definitely loves and recommends !
middle: this week, i (j) have been painting a few off white pieces of furniture to match the pearly whites already in my room. it has been a perfect way to catch some rays and be productive simultaneously.
right: we’ve had to say goodbye to friends as they adventure off into college. we excited for them yet sad to see them go.
get outside; happy summer!
